While volunteering in Panama, my wife and I have come across a variety of incredible flowers. As any visitor to Central America will know, the biological diversity found everywhere in Central America and especially in the rain forests will absolutely astound those who take the time to look. This is the land of orchids - many of them rare, of flowers of every shape and color, where even the most common of weeds produce astounding blooms.

Take a look at the images you see here (you can click to enlarge). Although these uploaded images are of lower quality, all the images are available for sale in their original top quality format (see bottom on how to buy). They have all been taken by an experienced photographer with a professional camera, and all purchased images will be supplied as an 8 X 10, on quality photo paper. Some of the images are numbered and signed as marked. All images are at least 12 MP.  All pictures were taken in their natural setting, except for the 'Dracula' Orchid, which was framed in moss.
We're just starting this blog, so visit often as we add more images.

Please note: the photos have a visible watermark (as seen in the image) to prevent theft. All purchased photographs will not include the watermark.

In the coming weeks, we'll be paying particular attention to the tiny flowers and structures, often ignored because of their size.  In many cases, the structure or flower is spectacular and can't be missed. As an example, look at #14, which is only 1 cm across. Although flowers of this size pose specific problems in photographing (depth of field, lighting and so on) it's worth the effort. Make sure to visit often.
